Register: http://www.shorelinecleanup.ca/en/cleanup/event/fall2013/mundy-lake
Where: Mundy Lake, Coquitlam, BC
What: Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup (poetry reading to follow)
When: September 28, 10:00 am - TBA

The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is an annual event happening near River's Day around Canada. Please dress for weather and terrain and, if you can, bring trash/recycle bags for picking up litter, though some supplies will be available. This is a family event.

You must sign a liability waiver for yourself and any children. Neither the Great Canadian Shoreline organization nor Moon Willow Press will be held responsible for injuries.

Please be prepared to help record litter that is collected. Each year the Great Canadian Shoreline organization provides cards for documenting garbage pickup, and then they put statistics on their website later.

After the cleanup, we will be celebrating 100,000 Poets for Change, a global event happening all over the world. Join us as a few poets read poems about forests, shorelines, and wildlife. Snacks will be provided at the reading, which will also take place in Mundy Park.

Click here for a map of Mundy Park. We will update this post when deciding on where to meet.

Note that this event was cancelled due to lack of signups. Onward to next year!
